Geriatric Medicine
Geriatric medicine is a medical specialty that takes a holistic approach, considering the physical, mental, and social aspects of an older person's health.
It involves the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions that commonly affect older individuals.
The goals of geriatric medicine include optimizing the overall health and quality of life of older adults, promoting independence, and preventing or managing age-related diseases and disabilities.

Geriatric Psychiatry
Geriatric psychiatry is a specialized branch of psychiatry that focuses on the mental health and well-being of older adults.
As people age, they may experience various physical, social, and emotional changes that can affect their mental health. Geriatric psychiatry addresses the unique needs and challenges faced by older adults, including age-related cognitive decline, memory problems, mood disorders, and the interaction between physical and mental health conditions.
