It can be helpful to talk to a professional who is objective and non-judgmental about issues you are experiencing. Perhaps you are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma or adjusting to change. Counselling and therapy can give you insight into why you might be struggling, and can provide strategies for dealing with these issues.
ART is a non-invasive evidence-based form of psychotherapy that utilizes back and forth eye movements to help clients address common problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias, grief and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In sometimes as little as one session, this effective therapy provides relief from distressing or traumatic images, memories and sensations.
Caring for a loved one with cognitive, mental or physical health challenges can be extremely difficult. As a caregiver, you shouldn’t have to feel like you are alone. Talking to and getting support from a professional who understands the challenges of caregiving can be very beneficial, especially if you are experiencing burnout, guilt, depression, and anxiety.
A family session is a great way to communicate with your loved ones about health changes, care needs, safety issues and housing options. It is best to include anyone who is important in the decision-making process, so that everyone is on the same page. This service can also be helpful when family members live out of town, to ensure that they are included in important decision making.
There are so many different seniors housing options available, it can be hard to navigate and know which one is right for you or your loved one. It helps to talk to a professional who understands your unique needs (including level of care and budget) and who can help guide you to find the best fit for what you are looking for.
